Hey! I found this community a while ago but didn't bother joining until now.

Does anyone know who's opening for them on this tour?? Particularly the ANU Bar one in Canberra and The Metro gig in Sydney, cause those are the two I'll be at.

Thanks!

don't know if anyone heard about this...from the Panics website-

"The mixing of the album has been hit by a major studio problem at Sony. The desk at Sony Studios went down literally a couple of hours before we were about to start mixing our album. After a week of frustration they still haven’t isolated what the problem is. We’ve been sat around in Sydney waiting for the past two weeks – spending what little money we haven’t got and drinking away the frustration. We’re hoping that things will get resolved soon and it won’t compromise the release date of the album. We had hoped to get a new track to radio in time for our May / June tour but it may have to be put back. Anyway we’re still hoping this will be resolved soon and we can move forward with the album, which we still plan to release in August.

Don’t forget the up coming tour. We’ll have Ollie Brown from Art of Fighting with us for the Melbourne and Sydney dates. It’s going to be a fairly intimate show. We’ll drop quite a few tracks from the new album.
"

tee hee... in unrelated news, i've started listening to their first album again...mainly the last three tracks on the album...wow. i think it's 'only a thought' [title from off the top of my head] that just gets me everytime. anyway, thought you should know

Jay on JJJ Breakfast this morning [16 Sep 2004|09:58pm]

Jay was interviewed by Robbie Buck a bit before 8am on Triple J breakfast this morning.
I was lying in bed, just waking up, thinking "what's the accent??"
They're Manchester kids now. I can't remember much of what they said - something about brushing shoulders with the dude from 24 Party People, and opening for the Happy Mondays. Or something?

Anyway, it was live.. so they'll probably play the interview again on Home and Hosed or 2004 this Sunday.

Woo! Yesterday I made my friend buy the crack in the wall CD, and he absolutely loves it! He is going to the Falls Festival, so he shall get to see them. Sigh. I wish I was able to go. But, yay for spreading the wondefulness that is The Panics!

I was just wondering if anyone is planning on seeing The Panics at The Falls Festival in Lorne on New Years. I am thinking of going as it sounds like it will be awesome this year. I just wanted to know if there were other people planning on going.
